Position Summary:

The primary role of the PLC Specialist is to provide technical support to ensure that the production lines and plant equipment are operational, and provide the technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair and maintain process PLC’s, control systems and computers.

Education :

 High School/GED

 4 Year Degree or comparable background of work related experience related discipline preferred

Reporting:

 Reports to: Maintenance Assistant Manager or designee

 Direct reports: None

Competency Requirements:

Communicates critical issues (what, who, when, where) to Team Leader, Group Leader, Asst. Manager or Manager in a timely manner; cooperate in creating a positive work environment; gives input to achieve improvements with Leadership; works to meet unit/department goals; work with Leadership (as assigned) to develop and implement countermeasures to eliminate root cause and prevent problem recurrence; provide data as needed

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

 3 years job related experience

 Knowledge of preventative maintenance guidelines and programs

 Knowledge of OSHA machine regulations and recommendations

 Experience with machine operation and programming systems

 Self-motivation and ability to work with little direction

 Excellent oral communication and listening skills

 Excellent interpersonal skills

 Outstanding organizational skills

 General computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

 A positive team attitude

Other Information:

 Position may require domestic or international travel.

 Must be able to move or work on other shifts as needed

 OT required as needed.

 Tier-1 Automotive Manufacturing experience preferred.

 Cross Cultural Experience is preferred

 Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
