Maintenance Technician/Engineer Job at APA Hotel Woodbridge
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Respond to all guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Complete work order requests in a timely manner.
- Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishing and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs.
- Perform skilled repair and maintenance operations using power tools, hand tools, welding equipment.
- Maintain the guest room Preventative Maintenance program and consistently keep updated records.
- Be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures, including location of all emergency shut-offs .
- Assist hotel guests in case of an emergency Keep all working spaces & mechanical areas in a safe, clean & orderly condition.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with guests, visitors, vendors, and hotel staff
- Saflok knowledge preferred
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Strong understanding of the technologies used and required.
- React quickly in emergency situations making sound decisions.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education: Degree a plus. Combination of vocational education, apprenticeship, in-plant training, or on-the-job training required.
Experience: Must have (1-2) one to two years of previous hotel engineering experience.
Licenses or
Certifications: None required.
NOTICE:
Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As a part of the hospitality industry a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times. All employees are required to project a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
