Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician, your primary accountability will be to support Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope operations by maintaining the equipment in the factory at optimal condition. This is accomplished by performing preventative maintenance on the equipment as needed and overhauling the equipment when necessary. A focus on various plant maintenance, repair and,installation operations as assigned and directed by supervision. Troubleshoot and determine appropriate repairs, replace defective parts as needed and, maintain machinery and mechanical equipment. Assemble, install, test, and inspect machines and equipment. Maintain and complete required maintenance/inventory records of all repairs and materials. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. This position requires a lot of bending, twisting, and reaching. Our manufacturing facility is subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.) All other duties as assigned. Our needs are for 2nd and 3rd shift.
Job Requirements:
- Educational Experience must be from one of the following:
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Professional certification maintenance-related competencies post-secondary technical trade school
- High School/GED with a minimum of 2 years experience in a related field
- Lift 75 lbs unassisted while moving, climbing stairs/ladders as high as 25 feet
- Wear approved steel-toed, met-guard boots for a minimum of 8-10 hours on the concrete floor.
- Must be able to switch shifts/start times and work on Saturday or Sunday at any given time or as business dictates.
Job Preferences:
- Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment/electrical systems
- Knowledge of pumps and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of PLC’s
- 2+ years in plant/equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in MS windows and Excel
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background and drug screening.
Salary Min $21.00 per hour
Salary Max $27.00 per hour
Additional $2.00 per hour shift differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shift.
