Job Description
We are looking for an IT Asset Management (ITAM) to join our IT Support Services team. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily maintenance of the end‐to‐end IT asset lifecycle for the organization. This individual will be responsible for the purchasing, tracking and inventory of all IT hardware, ensuring that end-user laptops and computers have the latest images, tested and ready for deployment, helping the organization leverage our ServiceNow ITAM module to manage our product lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily activities of the ITAM team.
  • Monitors ServiceNow queue to ensure resolution and escalation of requests to meet or exceed service level performance goals.
  • Acts as coach and mentor to ITAM team and assists with development and improvement of team morale, skillset, and performance.
  • Processes request for IT hardware and assists with end-user deployment, including packaging equipment for outgoing shipments and tracking hardware location changes, ensuring accurate accounting of all assets.
  • Processes and validates incoming shipments of IT equipment and maintains organization of inventory storage rooms.
  • Partners with ServiceNow administrator to ensure data integrity and ongoing enhancement of the IT CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to maintain accuracy.
  • Provide Audits and metrics reports on all assets based around life cycles. Projects spend to replace and maintain hardware over the hardware lifespan.
  • Work in conjunction with the IT Desktop Team in relation to asset distribution and recovery to ensure a high level of service.
  • Work with IT Management team, and other key stakeholders, to refine and improve current IT Asset Management processes and lifecycle.
  • Performs tasks associated with returning defective and broken items for warranty repair and end of lease returns.
  • Coordinates recycling of e-waste and breaks down cardboard and shipping materials.
  • Partner with System Engineers to maintain latest computer images.
  • Collaborates on annual CAPEX/OPEX planning in relation to IT assets.
  • Constantly monitor inventory for opportunities for improvement and implement improvement initiatives.

Knowledge & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and or 5-10 years of relevant Information Technology experience.
  • 3-5 years of IT personnel management experience.
  • Prior experience must include a minimum of 3 years of IT Asset Management experience, including IT Asset Management policy / processes documentation.
  • Experience with ServiceNow application or other asset management platforms.
  • Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware and internal components.
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Pallet lift operation knowledge a plus.
