Cicero Therapies family of business, is hiring a Manager of Revenue Cycle Management in Birmingham, AL.

The Manager of RCM will report to the Director of Revenue Cycle Management and help lead the Cicero Billing Team office in Hoover, AL. This position is a terrific opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial leader. The Manager of RCM is expected to train, manage, and lead the Birmingham-based billing team to provide billing support for clinic operations in Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Illinois, and Massachusetts.

Co-founded by a clinician, we are a network of mission-driven pediatric therapy practices entirely dedicated to partnering with practices that provide exceptional speech pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, autism services, and mental health services. Alongside impact investors, we aim to expand integrated therapy services to more families. Our goal is to provide practice management services to empower clinicians to focus exclusively on delivering the highest quality of care to more children in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead key internal billing processes across AL, SC, NC, VA, MD, IL, and MA clinics, managing key projects and the billing team.
• Be the “in house expert” on medical billing and coding, leading and training the Cicero Billing Team as well as therapists (as necessary) on appropriate and medically acceptable codes and code combinations to ensure maximum reimbursement from payors.
• Develop streamlined and consistent billing processes, creating manuals and FAQs for the team.
• Spearhead new technology implementation, including new patient, online medical record intake forms.
• Optimize EMR databases and billing practice to ensure consistency and timeliness across all clinics.
• Ensure medical records are complete, accurate and properly formatted across all clinics.
• Ensure that all patient data is always kept confidential and HIPAA compliant.
• Keep informed of key billing trends and industry changes.

Job Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience (ideally working in a multi-location medical practice).
• A minimum of 4 years in a supervisory/leadership role and a passion to train and manage a growing team.
• Creative problem-solving skills, proactively identifying and solving challenges.
• A passion to refine processes, optimize operations, and identify areas for improvement.
• Empathy and patience for patients, clinicians, and new team members.
