Depending on the hire, this position may be hired on through a staffing company for a period of time. This is a non-exempt full time hourly position. Pay will DOE. Machine Specialty & Manufacturing offers a competitive benefits package listed below.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To operate manual lathe, load and unload parts, chuck parts using a four-jaw chuck, indicate in parts, understand feeds, speeds, depth of cuts. Threading is a plus.

DUTIES:

-Read and interpret machine drawings

-Full understanding of dial indicator, mics, calipers, and other measuring tools to inspect own parts

-Maintain neat housekeeping

-Know and understand MSM quality policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions

-Must understand and comply with all MSM Safety rules and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Ability to program a plus but not required

-High School Diploma or equivalent required

-Three to five years of experience required

Close Vision ( Clear vision at 20 inches or less ) , Distance Vision ( Clear vision at 20 feet or more) , peripheral vision , depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an environment where the employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions , working around moving mechanical parts .
