Spring Valley, a fertilizer and ice melter manufacturer in Jackson, WI is looking for an experienced, passionate Customer Account Specialist to join our team!

Our Customer Account Specialist will:

• Answer incoming calls for our main phone line as well as direct phone calls
• Respond to calls and emails in a timely manner
• Enter and update customer orders in Great Plains system
• Confirm customer orders via email
• Provide accurate information, negotiate, and maintain a positive relationship with the customer
• Communicate with sales, production, and customers regarding new and existing order status.
• Track new and existing orders to ensure timely pick up and shipment.
• Organize, update, and maintain accurate customer records.
• Communicate with trucking companies and broker contacts to coordinate freight for customer orders.
• Follow through on complaints, damages and returns
• Update and maintain accurate records in Excel and Google Sheet spreadsheets
• Complete projects as assigned

Knowledge and Skills for the job:

• Customer Service, Project Management, or Account Support experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience managing customer accounts and timely communication with multiple departments and customers.
• Experience in a business to business environment is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to develop product knowledge to better service our customers
• Ability to learn and adapt to customer needs and expectations
• Computer experience required (Microsoft Office, Adobe) Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plus!
• Strong problem solving skills
• Some math skills required

Pay & Hours

• $23 or more per hour, depending on experience
• Opportunities available for performance based bonus pay
• 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday at our Jackson, WI office.
