We are looking for an experienced Marketing Communications Manager to develop and execute multiple communications programs which effectively describe promoting the organization and its products. Utilizes multiple communication platforms and marketing tools to build greater brand awareness and organizational presence in the marketplace, and to promote the organization's strategic goals. Charged with developing and implementing innovative campaigns to improve company brand visibility. The Marketing Communications Manager is the voice of the company and represents the company in many areas, including public relations, customer service, and internal communication.

Relying on broad experience and good judgment, this role is accountable for accomplishing the following responsibilities and has substantial latitude for actions or decisions made with minimal oversight and review.
Position Overview
- Develop strategic plan for use of social media in customer service, marketing, and other areas of the company, responsible for executing plan.
- Develop strategic communication plan for external and internal customers including but not limited to: advertising, content calendar, press releases, branding, marketing messages, newsletters, and website.
- Create, develop and update content, copy and layout for marketing brochures, newsletters, advertising, and other marketing media - including oversight of design from the design team and any third-party relationships with printing, website vendors ensuring editorial excellence, brand consistency, and marketing effectiveness.
- Find and develop relevant content that is of interest to CPLG’s followers, agents, and employees; execute and monitor engagement on social media.
- Create copy and implement innovative campaigns to improve company brand visibility.
- Manage video production for online marketing use, including researching content; scripting, interviews; overseeing production, and editing to final product.
- Develop performance indicators/metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the online communication strategies; determine which social media platform is attracting and driving customers.
- Create and update web content for an active company website to include web images/banners/animation, online product content, landing pages ensuring brand consistency and marketing effectiveness.
- Responsible for third party relationships and budgeting with an established website development company to develop and maintain CPLG websites.
- Responsible for oversight of systems such as Salesforce, JIRA, Insured and Broker portals.
- Act as a representative of the company at public functions, industry events, and other business related functions.
- Participate in and support industry meetings and trainings as needed utilizing strong presentation skills.
- Act a point of contact for internal and public communications, digital content, press contact, and social media. May create, curate, and respond without legal or management approval in most instances.
- Communicate with customers about questions or concerns in an immediate fashion, sometimes outside of standard work hours, through online tools without direct management supervision.
- Model the CPLG core values to achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships and customer satisfaction with effective handling and follow-up.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and follow-up skills.
- Effectively exhibit and model professional behavior in all work and work-related activities.
- Effectively perform the managerial duties of hiring, disciplinary action, performance management, performance evaluations, etc. Coordinate all actions with approval of SVP of Marketing and Business Development and Human Resources Director.
- Provide appropriate orientation and training by giving direct reports the information, technology, and reference materials necessary to perform their jobs.
- Additional managerial responsibilities to include staff development, mentoring, providing career coaching, motivating staff, understanding and supporting diversity, and establishing an effective team.
- Provide leadership, oversight, and take ownership of designated areas of responsibilities, execute follow-through.
- Budget development and monitoring effective use of company monies.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
- A 4-year BA/BS degree in Communications, Social Media Marketing, Marketing, Journalism, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience
- 5 Years of Relevant and progressive experience in communications, digital content, and/or social media
- Proficient user of social media, including emerging platforms
- Graphic design, video editing, and/or HTML coding experience
- Proven track record of successful digital and social media communications campaigns
- Web design experience with skills in webpage layout, basic programming, graphic design
- Experience in insurance, Cyber Liability, Professional Liability or other insurance is a plus
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite tools, specifically InDesign and Photoshop, is preferable
- 5 Years of Leadership experience is strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in Encino, CA, the reasonable pay range for this specific position is $107,100 - $134,000 annually. “The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company.
