The Marketing Manager will support the Director of Development in building awareness, recruiting volunteers, and managing internal and external communications. This part-time position will have the option to work remotely unless an in-person presence is required for certain projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Build awareness for the agency in the 87 towns and cities that the service area reaches through all external communications channels including social media, media releases, radio advertisements, and print advertisements.

• Build engagement on agency’s website and improve SEO performance, meeting or exceeding established metrics.

• Lead practices to increase on-line giving and acquisition of new emails. Design annual appeal.

• Increase engagement on the agency’s social mediaplatforms with Bigs, Donors and general public.

• Develop elegant graphics and create polished presentations and marketing materials including brochures, flyers, and impact reports. Create monthly newsletters through Constant Contact.

Other Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Development and Marketing to create awareness of and attendance at events.

• Work with the Leadership Team to design the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, Annual Report and Annual Impact Report.

• Collaborate with a consultant to ensure monthly growth of the Google Ad Grant campaign spending.

• Create videos for the website, emails, Youtube, social media.

Position Qualifications

· Enthusiasm and passion for the BBBS Mission

· Formal training in communications, graphic design, or marketing; Prior experience in nonprofit marketing a plus

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Extensive experience with graphic design tools (Adobe, Canva, etc.) and video-editing tools

· Experience with WordPress and Constant Contact

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media management tools

· Ability to organize, prioritize and balance multiple projects

· Ability to work both independently and in a flexible and team-oriented environment

· Professional demeanor with ability to communicate with a diverse audience of staff, media, and other organization stakeholders.

· Detail-oriented, self-motivated and growth mindset.

Training Period:

There will be a 90-day probationary period wherein the employee and employer hold the right to determine if the skills and competencies match the position requirements. This in no way implies a contract nor guarantee of employment. The first three months of employment will be a training period, which will consist of professional development guidance from supervisors.
