Job Title: Medical Assistant

Department: Dermatology

Reports to: Office Supervisor

Job Description: The Dermatology department in Land O'Lakes is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. The role is responsible for assisting providers and manages clinical functions in the department. Candidates must be fine with blood. Ability to give injections and scribe. Looking for hard worker and great customer service orientation.

Dermatology experience a plus but not required. Able to numb, fast learner, able to work with computers.

THE KEYS TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

• Love of patients and providing excellent care
• Confidential handling of patient’s accounts and records
• Entering data into Electronic Health Records
• Preparing patients for examination and/or procedures
• Adherence to company policies
• HIPAA and OSHA Compliance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of Medical Assistant program
• Medical Assistant certification is a plus
• High school graduate or GED certificate
• Excellent communication skills including verbal/written, in person and on the phone
• Ability to travel to other FMC locations as business needs necessitate
