Boeing’s Specialized US Infrastructure Organization is currently looking for a Mid- Level Network Administrator to join their team in St. Louis, Mo. This position will focus on providing technical leadership and project support for strategic, enterprise-wide hosting environments primarily supporting programs within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization on an enterprise WAN (eWAN).

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration and good customer service as this position will focus on working directly with program customers as well as an Information Technology operations team to oversee and support operations, sustainment, and integration activities for proprietary customer programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain the datacenter network infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches and IPsec tunnels to connect sites securely.
  • Implement and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including routing, switching, and firewall problems.
  • Perform regular network performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that network resources are effectively allocated and utilized.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to the network infrastructure and processes.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting layer 1, 2 and 3 of the OSI model
  • 1-3 years of experience with implementing and troubleshooting PKI certificate-based IPSec VPN solutions to include Site-to-Site and Multi-site
  • 3+ years of hands-on working experience with Cisco ASR routers, Cisco Firepower platforms, Juniper SRX platforms, and Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Network+ or CCNA certification or level of network knowledge
  • Security+ Certification

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • At least 5 years of experience in firewall administration in a classified datacenter environment.
  • Expertise in configuring and maintaining firewalls, such as Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto Networks.
  • Familiarity with RMF controls and compliance requirements for classified environments, such as NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, and CNSSI 1253.
  • Knowledge of network security protocols and technologies, including IPsec, SSL/TLS, VPN, and AAA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective security operations.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Juniper Networks Certified Specialist Security (JNCIS-SEC), and Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA).
  • DoD 8140 compliant with a Security+ certificate
  • Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery
  • Knowledge of NSA's Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program to include the capability packages and annexes (Multi-Site, Gray/Red Management System, Continuous Monitoring, Key Management)
  • Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of network devices
  • Experience in Agile Methodologies and tools
  • Experience with Type 1 encryption devices like KG-175D, KG-175G and KG-175F
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Typical Education & Experience:
Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree (A technical degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study).

Summary pay range: $94,350 - $127,650
