Busy mortgage operation has a demand for responsible assistant for finance and accounting tasks.

Project to project basis. Ideal for someone that would like to supplement income with a few hours a day a few days a week.

We need someone to assist us with keeping our company financial records organized, and prepare financial documents, such as reports, instruction materials, packets, 1099s, and possibly mortgage loans.

Potential for advancement. Management opportunities may be extended upon proven performance.

Required:

Familiar with the pillars of the mortgage industry: forward and reverse mortgages, HECM and proprietary reverse mortgages, and the differences between them; P&I, PITI, UW, and loan conditions

Math skills must be sharp. Higher level calculus may not be required, however, Specialist must know the math basics: how to use a calculator, perhaps mortgage calculator, standard mortgage industry calculations, and formulas on spreadsheets such as summations.

Computer skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
• Data organizing
• Electronic storage, such as flash drives, cloud storage, mobile drives
• Proficient in web based sharing and communication methods, such as Google sharing applications, Google Docs and Sheets, Zoom, Teams
• Able to produce reasonably aesthetic finished products

Specialist is expected to be able to be communicated with through calling, text, email, with infallible continuity. (Has own cell phone, laptop or tablet, or devices that can handle the needs, and knows how to use them.)

Familiar with NMLS, business registration in general, and normal tax procedures.

It is preferred that you are able to be in the Baltimore City/Pikesville/Owings Mills Maryland area, or able to reliably commute to there, at least a few days of the week, as in-person discussions about the materials that need to be worked on may have to occur.

Expectations of a mortgage industry professional: reliable, punctual, organized, presentable conduct, willing to learn new methods.
