Multi-skill operators (MSO) are crucial to the overall performance of field operations and the company’s success. The MSO/Stabilizer Operator position is responsible for the operation of central facilities, the new wells into those facilities, the monitoring and optimizing of production and costs and performs most of his/her responsibilities at the central facility sites and associated well sites. MSO Stabilizers also play a key role in identifying and removing barriers that prevent the asset value from being maximized. The MSO Stabilizer is a main driver in implementing and monitoring the company’s safety and environmental programs.
Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures; ensure contractors do as well
- Implement stop-work authority to shut down operations deemed detrimental to the health and safety of yourself, co-workers or the environment
- Perform a job safety analysis (JSA) discussion before work begins
- Participate in the behavior-based safety (BBS) program
- Report unsafe acts and conditions, near misses, incidents and other unplanned events
- Attend and participate in required safety meetings, training classes and medical / health testing
- Use, inspect and maintain appropriate/required safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Participate in BU and Corporate HSE audits and address any assigned findings with corrective actions
Environmental and Regulatory Roles and Responsibilities
- Follow all environmental and regulatory policies
- Report all spills and releases per regulatory and corporate requirements
- Identify opportunities to prevent spills and emissions
Production
- Goal: Deliver LRP production targets for assigned routes.
Production Roles and Responsibilities
- Take full ownership for operation and maintenance of assigned wells, facilities and flowlines
- Monitor production volumes; use available tools and resources to identify and implement optimization opportunities
- Interface with the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) for optimization troubleshooting and data gathering requests
- Manage produced liquids and NGL’s including auditing run tickets for accuracy
- Report accurate production and downtime including detailed reasons for the downtime
- Input accurate well tests and fluid levels into Avocet
- Perform required maintenance and ensure needed work orders are submitted and adequately completed
- Be fit-for-duty and respond to call-outs when on call
Cost Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify and document opportunities to reduce costs
- Review invoices for accuracy and approve promptly
- Minimize overtime
- Perform basic maintenance, repair and troubleshooting prior to submitting a work request
Training and Development Roles and Responsibilities
- Complete all assigned and required training
- Find opportunities to sharpen skills on the job
- Develop mentor/mentee relationships
- Identify and participate in formal, professional training
Miscellaneous Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure all reporting requirements are met (e.g. downtime, production reports, run tickets, seals, LPRS, etc.)
- Record and submit accurate timesheets and expense reports
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean and safe condition
