Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Langley AFB

The IAFNOS contract includes supporting day-to-day operational issues, ensuring systems are operational and fully capable. Team members provide technical support to the AF Network Integration Center (AFNIC) and Program Management Office (PMO) fielding activities. They monitor, assess and respond to real-time network events, and take appropriate response action to ensure military personnel are supported 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cisco 3750, 3560 switches, 37xx and 39xx, 93xx, 95xx, Integrated Service Router, Aggregation Services Router, and Dell Blade server chassis.
  • Various Layer 2 and 3 LAN technologies such as STP, VLAN tagging,
    HSRP/GLBP, Ether-Channel/Port-channel, inter-VLAN routing, OSPF/BGP
    routing protocols, static routing, Access Control List, etc.
  • ASR and ISR routers.
  • AAA, TACACS, and ISE.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with routers and switches in an enterprise (greater than 3000 users) network environment.
  • Required skills include the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot enterprise level router and switched networks. This includes design implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a wide area network and making connections to remote sites via the WAN.
  • Some knowledge of basic mitigation of security threats, knowledge of wireless networking and voice.
  • Shift work is required, and occasional weekends may be required.
  • Must have Secret Clearance.
  • Candidate must be certified in accordance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II approved baseline certifications prior to start date.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – REQUIRED
  • Additional industry certifications may be required within specific time frames.

Preferred skills:

  • BIG-IP Load Balancing, Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM), Cisco Network Compliance Manager (NCM), Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), and Cisco Network Analysis Module (NAM-2).
  • SolarWinds experience is a plus.
  • Remedy experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with STIGs.
  • Experience in a military (Air Force) environment is a plus.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) ENARSI preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
