Details for the Logistics Coordinator:
- Schedule: Full Time! 1st Shift: Monday-Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Pay Rate: $20.25/hour (to start)

Job Responsibilities & Description for the Logistics Coordinator:
- Analyzes best routes and obtains quotes, both domestic and international, from vendors to meet customer and internal needs:
- Evaluates customer quote requests to determine best courier option. Contacts appropriate vendor(s) to obtain rate, transit time, availability and any other information needed to accommodate customer request. Communicates to customer throughout process; acknowledging request, obtaining any additional information needed, communicating courier has been contacted and updating once rate information is received.
- Coordinates shipments to meet travel deadlines while minimizing overall shipping cost.
- Obtains shipment documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Prepares and distributes shipment documents to customers and internal staff for shipment collection and inventory allocation upon delivery.
- Follows procedure checklist based on courier and type of shipment.
- Supports internal moves, takes active approach to solve problems, tracks arranged shipments from beginning to end to proactively address and/or communicate to manager and customer any issues or delays.
- Records all confirmed shipments on the company and department Outlook calendars and armored log in Excel. Follows procedure to maintain electronic organization of files.
- Obtains confirmation of shipment completion, notify all required parties, ensures billing of customer is completed and all documentation and files related to the shipment are organized and filed in the appropriate areas for both electronic and paper files.
- Communicates suspected or actual errors, inaccuracies, and problems to management promptly.
- Handles foreign storage account inquiries related to individual and bulk shipment requests.
- Supports relationships with armored courier vendors.
- Stays current with armored vendor pricing and coverage areas.
- Armored shipment files and record retention maintenance - updates, organizes, and maintains files on all assigned projects.
- Remains current on company procedures, products, services, and new technologies through available resources.
- Recommends new procedures and updates for approval as functions may change.
Job Requirements for the Logistics Coordinator:
- Must have at least 2-3 years of steady logistics experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience operating a Forklift is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted
- Candidates must be willing to submit to a Pre-Employment Screening, including Drug & Background Check
