Position Description
The Nurse Manager acts as the operational head of a unit. The Nurse Manager has 24/7 responsibility for overseeing clinical care of patient cases. Nurse Managers oversee the work of registered nurses and provide leadership, education/training, and direct assistance on cases, as needed. Nurse Managers are also responsible for personnel and budget management and staffing of the unit and clinical care of patients.
Position Requirements
-ADN upon hire, with MSN obtained within 3 years -ADN upon hire, with BSN and MHA or MBA obtained within 3 years -BSN upon hire, with MSN, MHA, or MBA obtained within 3 years -MSN and 5 years or more of experience to include 2-3 years in clinical nursing and 1 year in management. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Current Registered Nursing (RN) License (Georgia) or qualifying multi-state compact license.
Preferred Requirements
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
