Nurse Manager - Oncology Job at Stamford Hospital
Stamford Health has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Manager for our Inpatient Oncology Unit.
Our Oncology unit provides care to adult and geriatric patient populations (Med/Surg patient population approximately 80% and Oncology patient population 20%). Join this team on the path to development by fostering nursing professional growth and drive quality in patient care!
The Nurse Manager is accountable for the daily operations of the unit to include staffing, productivity, budget management and service recovery. In addition, this position is available to mentor and develop staff, interface with other departments to assure patient throughput, and collaborate with the professional development department to assess and identify the learning needs of the staff. The manager utilizes both clinical and leadership skills to identify opportunities for performance improvement. The manager participates in the selection, evaluation, and coaching of unit employees.

Required Skills
Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required with a Master’s Degree preferred.
A minimum of three years experience in nursing supervision as a coordinator, charge nurse or manager.
Current CT RN license is required.
ONS and Chemotherapy Certification preferred.
Professional nursing specialty certification within 2 years of hire preferred.
