What is Nuuly Reporting:

We work closely with our business partners to support all aspects of the business, including buying & planning, logistics, finance, marketing, and customer success to model data and provide insights to drive decisions through our business intelligence tool, Looker.

What is the Senior Business Intelligence Manager role:

The Senior Business Intelligence Manager role is responsible for ownership of our business intelligence tool, Looker. This includes overseeing the ETL/ELT process, data modeling, dashboard development, and collaborating with business stakeholders to understand how to use data to unlock insights.

Core responsibilities include:

• Reporting Infrastructure & Operations
  • Own the reporting infrastructure roadmap, including evaluating and adopting new technologies for ETL
  • Build and maintain accurate and performant self-service BI reporting for all teams at Nuuly
  • Institute & oversee rigorous quality assurance and release processes for ETL and LookML deployments
  • Institute & oversee best practices for ETL infrastructure, SQL, and LookML documentation
• Project and Team Management
  • Manage the career growth of the reporting team members
  • Prioritize new feature development and business stakeholder requests, along with tech debt and process migration
  • Hire a Sr. Analytics Engineer and collaborate to design and implement improvements to the Nuuly reporting tables and ETL architecture
  • Oversee database cost management: Engineer cost-efficient reporting solutions
  • Provide support & troubleshooting for end-users of Looker

Qualifications:

• 5-10+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields, including experience leading teams and managing projects
• Expert-level SQL skills. Experience with Google BigQuery is a plus
• Significant hands-on experience with one or more Business Intelligence tools, e.g. Looker, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Qlik, especially with data modeling (e.g. LookML) and ETL/ELT processes (Airflow, dataform, dbt, etc.)
• Experience managing a team of business intelligence analysts/developers
• Experience in project management tools such as JIRA, Asana, Monday.com etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The following are a strong plus, but not required:
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with dbt or Dataform
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with a subscription business model and/or e-commerce
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in quantitative or technical discipline
