GENERAL FUNCTION
As part of the Brand Analytics & Strategy Support Team, the Senior Analyst - Product (SPA) contributes to the success of the organization by forging strong cross-functional partnerships, correlating historical and current trends, and reporting and forecasting multiple monthly and annual KPI’s.
The Senior Analyst - Product is responsible for managing the Merchant Financial Plan (MFP) to achieve strategic goals. This position will have a clear understanding and react well to the changing market trends. The SPA will be proactive in analyzing, understanding, and communicating performance by attributes and by region and sales channels.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, track, and analyze category specific reporting, KPIs, and dashboards
- Analyzes unit sales, revenue, cost, margin dollars, margin percentage, and average sales price by release and total active portfolio
- Partner with the Optics Product Team to track, align, and execute on category specific SKU and model count budget
- Lead and execute the disco process
- Generate the MFP covering a 3 to 5 year period by partnering with the Optics Product Team category leads
- Develop forecasts at the sub-category level, key attribute, style, and material levels for assigned category(ies) consistent with defined department targets and company top-down direction.
- Communicate the MFP results to organizational leadership and other cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, GTM, R&D, etc.)
- Support the Optics Product Team online planning and gap analysis
- Identify business opportunities utilizing analytics for future and strategies
- Manage the pricing efforts for the organization for every product release
- Coordinate derivation, review, and loading of all prices to EssilorLuxottica systems
- Communicate pricing derivation rules and changes to broader organization
- Attend cross functional (sales, marketing, etc.) meetings to ensure financial plans are created and aligned with all category objectives.
- Take on additional projects as directed. Look to streamline communication and improve process where applicable.
- Translate ideas into action by setting clear and concise direction for the product category and team.
- Follow a consistent process, utilize the systems, and attend the training required to ensure the team possesses the skills and business acumen required to successfully perform any and all job functions.
- Work to ensure company best practices are adhered to and completed within the allotted timeframe.
- Establish cross-functional relationships to promote best practices and process adherence; foster collaboration and teamwork.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related
- 3+ years in an analytical role with experience at a SKU level in a consumer product category
- Strong analytical and quantitative and mathematical skills, highly proficient in Excel
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology.
- Proactive, organized, adaptable, collaborative, results-driven, strong communication skills, ability to excel within a team environment, self-motivated.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA from accredited institution preferred
- Strong fundamentals in business intelligence reporting development preferred.
Pay Range: $70,271.00 - $96405
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
