• 
  Provide patient/resident and family education/consultation related to the disorder and its management.
• Communicate resident status and needs to the patient/resident, their family, staff and other professionals (i.e. care conferences).
• Provide direct care of residents with physician ordered evaluation and treatment based upon regulations and established rehabilitation procedures and best practices as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain records by practice standards, third party payers and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established rehabilitation best practices.
• Maintain treatment area, equipment and supply inventory as directed.
• Provide assistance with the daily operations of the rehab department as directed.
• Coordinate rehabilitation care with other health care professionals inside and outside PHS.

• Graduate for an accredited program for occupational therapy assistants.
• Current licensure in the state of practice as required
• Competence in assisting occupational therapy evaluation and treatment per OT standards of practice
• Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
