American Dependable Therapy is seeking a qualified and compassionate Occupational Therapist in the SAN ANTONIO AREA. Work where you live! (San Antonio area incorporates the surrounding areas - Devine, Lytle, Castroville, Hondo, Boerne, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, LaVernia, Floresville, and many other areas!). Our therapists are required to create a plan of care and evaluate, establish, and implement individual programs for our patients to increase functional ability and reestablish independence at home. Therapists have the option of utilizing assistants or continuing treatments.

This is an in-home/field position (not telehealth) that has the ability to grow and be molded into your position of choice.

Compensation can be discussed at the time of the interview but will be based on experience, performance, and flexibility.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performing home visits to evaluate patient's level of function
• Per Medicare guidelines, developing an individual plan of care based on the client's personal goals
• Implementing the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient - may use assistants or choose to perform treatments
• Reassessing clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of program
• Instructing patient, family, and staff regarding participation in the treatment program
• When necessary, collaborating with COTA and additional interdisciplinary team members to improve treatment program

Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in occupational therapy
• Active and current license to practice occupational therapy by the state of Texas
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology required of an occupational therapist and its practice application in the treatment of home health patients
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to work with an interdisciplinary team
• Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation
