Seasonal position. May - September - Tuesday - Saturday
We are looking to hire an additional Office/Accounting Clerk for our busy summer operation to help manage our company's accounts payable and receivables.
Responsibilities include assisting our bookkeeper with data entry of accounts payable, reconciling daily drop bags from stores. Reviewing invoices and checking for accuracy. Assisting customers and other office staff as needed. To be successful in this role, you should have a Finance or Accounting background and be familiar with bookkeeping.
Ultimately, you will ensure we process all financial transactions accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Manage obligations to suppliers, customers, and third-party vendors.
- Process bank deposits
- Reconcile financial statements by researching as directed by bookkeeper.
- Prepare, send, and file invoices.
- Contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments.
- Identify and address discrepancies.
- Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
- Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets.
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience in an accounting department or similar role
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
- Firsthand experience in an office environment
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
- Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
- Good organizational and time-management abilities
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
