Operations Analyst Job at Southland Holdings
Duties:
- Coordinate total reporting efforts relevant to operational metrics across multiple business units.
- Assist with monthly Job Cost accounting recaps.
- Develop KPIs for tracking and optimizing operational standards.
- Review labor projections, material quotes, contracts, etc to lend analytics to preexisting processes.
- Perform Risk and Contract Management responsibilities as required, review/incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures.
- Distill estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
- Consult with clients, vendors, and coworkers to formulate action plans and resolve issues.
- Review projections and recommend best solution based on cost, market/labor factors, and/or availability of materials/equipment.
- Work with Company employees, owners and subcontractors to get commitment/consensus regarding proposed initiatives.
- Lead targeted campaigns to implement new processes and reinforce culture using a metrics-based approach.
- Obtain knowledge of internal accounting structure to diagnose/troubleshoot any irregularities as they arise.
- Apply strategic logic to unique challenges to avoid cost incursions.
- Partner with estimators to turn project over to production team. Advise on major changes in scope of work.
- Monitor actual cost to estimated cost. Upon project completion, conduct debriefing with estimating, engineering, equipment, and production teams to discuss positive and negative aspects of the project. Search and analyze options for most effective means and methods of construction. Understand best value approach to prioritizing initiatives.
- Monitor monthly cash flow, and capture opportunities to cut cost through financing/purchase options.
- Coordinate with Equipment Dept to address and resolve any/all delays or changes in scope.
- Assist in providing the financial teams support as we usher in new accounting standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or related experience equivalent.
Desired qualifications:
1-5 years Heavy Civil Construction experience preferred
Microsoft proficiency preferred

Pay: From $65,000.00 per hour
