The Order Technician is responsible to manage, direct, teach and communicate the development of our customers’ orders pertaining to graphic design, product construction and manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reviewing and approving all supplied components related to product design and manufacture prior to project coordination and assembly in order to build quality into the final results.
- Directs communications with the customer, sales representatives, manufacturing and customer relations.
- Approve and assist in the development of security components pertaining to the design and manufacturing of individual games/promotional pieces.
- Assume responsibility for customer requests for further information and assistance in product development/design.
- Provide specific and consistent ongoing training in manufacturing capabilities, design development to the customer relations reps and support personnel.
- Communicate to all co-workers assuring the customers’ needs, quality expectations and requests are provided and understood.
- Answer questions from personnel at all levels of the organization regarding customer and sales reps expectations on product development/design.
- Participate actively in quality management processes
- Communicate any additional time/charges incurred due to product design needs.
- Build and maintain a professional relationship with all customers of WS Packaging Group:
- Telephone communications
- Customer visits
- Plant visitations
- Works closely with customers’ agencies in relationship with their promotional activities.
- Approve invoices of outside services ordered through Customer Service, i.e., tooling and various press components.
- Duties may be change or additional duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.). Two year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
- Previous experience working in the label/printing industry required. 3 – 5 years experience working with customer orders in a Customer Service or production capacity preferred.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, both written & verbal
- A thorough understanding of or ability to learn the production/Press capabilities in WS Packaging Group – Neenah
- Resourcefulness and independent judgment in the making of consistent decisions and recommendations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including Outlook, Word, and Excel,
- The ability to learn company specialized software programs.
- Basic math skills to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- The ability to read and comprehend measurements on a ruler.
- Solid verbal and written communications skills with strong ability to follow written or verbal instructions
- The ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and work instructions.
- The ability and willing to work overtime as needed.
- The ability and willingness to be a cross-functional employee that can work with multiple teams within the organization to achieve success
- The ability to devise multiple alternative solutions based on limited assumptions and information
