Outside Sales Account Executive Job at SHELL LUMBER AND HARDWARE COMPANY
The Outside Sales Account Executive is responsible for generating new incremental business and maintaining an existing account base from the assigned geographical territory, meeting specific sales objectives by following company sales policies and strategies as directed by the General Manager.
The position will have responsibility for the Dade, Broward and Monroe Counties.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting annual quota attainment.
- Execute the business plan by identifying and developing new, profitable businesses and maintaining and servicing existing accounts.
- Actively promote E-commerce initiatives.
- Represent Shell Lumber and Hardware by attending various industry and community functions.
- Daily interaction, via personal visits and phone calls, with current and potential accounts to develop relationships and provide excellent customer service.
- Participates in contract negotiations and quote processes with current and potential accounts.
- Solicit business from potential customers by cold-calling and following up on sales leads from new shippers.
- Daily administrative duties, including timely and accurate daily sales, call reports, budget forecasts, and expense reports; maintaining territory account listings and individual account profiles.
- Implement and coordinate sales activities to meet or exceed individual territory sales volume and yield goals.
- Identify, monitor, and report the market potential of customers in the assigned territory.
- Report on developing market conditions, service issues, and competitive activities to include pricing actions that impact Shell Lumber and Hardware.
- Represent Shell Lumber and Hardware professionally and consistently with all rules and regulations affecting the company’s service and operations.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (in business administration or related field).
- 3-7 years of sales experience, with at least one year in the Hardware, Lumber, or Construction industry.
