Big Man Bakes Llc in Los Angeles, CA is looking for one pastry chef assistant to join our strong team. We are located on 413 S Main St. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable.

Responsibilities

*Regularly check quality of product and condition of equipment (ie ovens) and all kitchen devices *Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. *Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area *Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc *Drive the company van for transport of product *Follow recipes using standard measurements *Produce baked goods using standards in line with brand expectation

Qualifications

*Previous pastry / baking experience preferred *Ability to work cohesively with a team for optimal production output *Food Handlers Certificate or ServSafe sanitation certification (in a culinary setting) preferred, but not required *Reports all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to management *Must be punctual and disciplined *Able to lift up to 50 pounds *Must have reliable transportation *Ability to drive the company van *Must possess a valid California driver's license.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $18.50 - $25.00/hour.

At 6 foot 5 inches tall, the "Big Man" who looks like a linebacker, used baking as a stress reliever for all those long hours of study.
