Patient Support Representative

Potomac Psychiatry, located in Rockville, MD, is a rapidly growing, award-winning medical practice. We have been operating primarily remotely since March of 2020. Our practice comprises a multidisciplinary team of 13 clinicians and a dedicated administrative support team. We seek a highly motivated and exceptional individual with strong customer service skills, who is eager to learn and gain experience in an exciting and fast paced environment. The candidate will be part of an elite team that enhances patient satisfaction, provides caring support to patients, understands and enjoys learning about diagnostic testing, and manages front desk administrative responsibilities. The applicant must enjoy providing support and working as a team while being able to multi-task. This position is ideal for a person wanting to work for a rapidly growing business that will allow them to contribute to and participate in the ambitious growth plans for the practice.

Requirements

• Candidates must be able to commute to our Rockville, MD office as needed.
• This position is mostly remote with the potential to be in-person if needed. Possibility for up to 5 days per week in person, depending on demand.
• As a policy of our practice, all team members must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out for in-person appointments at our office
• Create insurance claim forms and provide them to patients
• Monitor incoming faxes
• Complete prior authorizations for patient’s medication
• Prepare letters, paperwork, and medical records
• Communicate with patients via text and email in a professional manner
• Support our clinical team around scheduling, medication refills, and other needs
• Additional duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years working in a medical field (If you do not have this experience but feel you would be a great fit, please explain why in your cover letter).
• Experience in a fast-paced remote work environment preferred
• Able to multitask using multiple systems
• Takes initiative and embodies leadership qualities
• Excellent attention to detail and note-taking abilities
• Self-motivated and resourceful
