MAC Rx of MO, a growing long term care pharmacy, is seeking a Billing Manager to join our team! The successful candidate will have intimate knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and guidelines, be a problem solver, and is able to work well in a team environment. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee all the billing department in its entirety, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being implemented.

Responsibilities include:

· Responsible for compliance with standards of practice, state and federal pharmacy laws and guidelines

· Understand and be able to monitor the department batch management, posting batches, order entry, new/readmissions, sig codes, days supply, etc.

· Label quantities, and adjudication

· Hiring of team members and day to day management of the department staff, including conducting annual performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary action if needed

· Understand open and closing activities

· Comply with operational timelines and policies and procedures

· Assist in writing and responsible for implementing policies and procedures with respect to claims adjudication

· Intimate knowledge of the processing of new admits/readmits, refill too soon, e-box, rejects, clarifications, facility exceptions, special /clinical experience.

· Participate in management team meetings

· Have knowledge of all position job duties in department to cover vacations and emergencies

· Cooperate with other departments regarding problem solving both internal and external

· Address customer concerns and report resolution

· Assist in testing and implementing new technologies

· Courteous and professional with staff and clients

· Able to manage time sensitive processes

· Able to prioritize activities

· Process month end Medicare A logs

· Enter all miscellaneous charges

· Create third party billing weekly

· Create month-end billing

· Print facility bills and Matrix uploads to all facilities

· Process all financial reports

· Process daily deposits

· Reconcile all aging reports

· Error reporting and tracking

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Strong attention to detail required

· Friendly and professional demeanor

· Intimate knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and guidelines

· Ability to follow direction and prioritize tasks

· Ability to maintain composure on phone when handling customer calls

· Excellent communication and organization skills

· Ability to problem solve

· Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment

· Minimum of 7 years pharmacy experience required, long term care pharmacy preferred

· Accounting experience preferred

· Must hold a Missouri Pharmacy Technician license or certification

· Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including working weekends and holidays

We are seeking a full-time hire at this time. The full time position will be comprised of a 40 hour work week and will qualify for health, dental, and vision insurance along with short and long term disability, life insurance, access to a 401(k) as well as a generous PTO plan.
