As a Retail Pharmacy Manager, you will interpret prescriptions, dispense pharmaceuticals, and related devices in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, provide patient information and counseling, supervise technical staff, and be a role model to demonstrate courteous, compassionate care for customers and coworkers. You will work closely with the Director of Pharmacy to promote positive store performance.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret prescriptions using professional judgment in dispensing pharmaceuticals and related products.
• Review patients' utilization, therapeutic duplications, disease state, drug interaction, drug allergy, dosage and duration of drug treatment, abuse or misuse of drug, and take appropriate action when concerns arise.
• Contact prescribers for clarifications of orders or to notify them of unobtainable medications.
• Verify appropriate pharmaceutical agent to the prescription order.
• Use professional judgment in placing appropriate containers and labels.
• Verify a particular patient receives a specific drug from the proper practitioner.
• Calculate accurate doses and prepare compounded prescriptions and IV medications according to physician orders.
• Provide patient education and counseling.
• Supervise technical staff, be physically present in the pharmacy, and personally review and approve all professional pharmaceutical activity.
• Observe all staff activity and oversee cash management of the store.
• Assist in orienting new staff, interns, and externs to the department.
• Assist in ordering and inventory of pharmaceuticals so that quality, cost-effective products are used, and appropriate inventory levels are maintained.

Education/Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Ohio.
• Must have recent retail pharmacy experience.

Additional Info:

• Location is open 9 am-7 pm. The manager will work some weekends.
• Will supervise 8.5 and the position reports to the Director.

• Position will offer between $48hr-$70hr depending on experience and comes with a full benefit package. Offering relocation assistance.
