Physician Assistant Job at Samuel Staffing
Hello!
We are seeking a Physician Assistant for our urgent care facility located in North Adams, MA. The PA responsibility is to provide high-quality medical care to patients who present with a wide variety of urgent medical conditions. In this role, you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure that patients receive prompt and efficient care.
Your key duties and responsibilities may include:
-Conducting thorough medical assessments of patients presenting with urgent medical conditions, such as acute injuries, illnesses, and infections.
-Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, blood tests, and urinalysis, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
-Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, including prescribing medications, performing procedures, and referring patients to specialists when necessary.
-Documenting patient care in electronic medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all medical records.
-Educating patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
-Providing support to the supervising physician in the management of patients with chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
-Participating in quality assurance and improvement activities, including monitoring patient outcomes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree and Certification
- A current PA License in one of our urgent care states, in which you are applying
- At least 2+ years of emergency medicine or 3+ years’ experience in high volume urgent care
