Full Time Plastic Specialist II

Deptford, New Jersey


Job Summary:

Responsible for general administrative functions that contribute to the operations of the Deposit Operations department.


What you will do:

  • Conducts such transactions as, but not limited to: ATM, Visa Debit/Credit Card processing, stop payments, daily settlements, downloads and disburses monthly reports for review by other departments, reviews fraud alerts and assists with the processing and resolution of fraudulent transactions.
  • Researches accounts for members and executes requests for card orders, reissues, fee refund, account updates, etc.
  • Researches and retrieves legal documents as required by subpoena.
  • Operates office machines such as, photocopiers, scanners, facsimiles machines, voicemail systems, and personal computers.
  • Scans, retrieves and organizes documents from internal databases and other sources.
  • Acts as back up to department for operations processing, member requests and front line assistance.
  • Answers telephone calls as needed for general inquiries from members and Contact Center.
  • Maintains spreadsheets and other records as required.
  • Assists in preparing and updating various reports as needed.
  • Sends communications to internal and external clients via email, fax and mail.
  • Works schedules to fulfill the department needs including Saturdays.
  • Participates in self-development opportunities provided by the credit union, self-study courses on online University, and all compliance training required by the credit union.
  • Adheres to the FHCU Service Standards as established
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.


What you will bring:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associates degree preferred
  • At least one (1) year in customer service or equivalent position within a financial institution

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and using the web
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and exercise judgement
  • Ability to interact with members and all employees within the organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate mathematical skills

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands require a person to remain seated for up to eight (8) hours per day, bend, reach and perform repetitive hand movements on a keyboard.
