Position Summary
A full-time postdoc position is available in the McAllister Heart Institute to study cardiac development and regeneration. The applicant is expected to drive the research project.
Research performed in the McAllister Heart Institute at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms of cardiac repair and regeneration by using genetic approaches combined with single cell transcriptomics and high-resolution imaging.

The project will involve multi-omics approaches and generation of cell type specific transgenic and knockout lines to dissect genetic pathways governing cell-cell communication during cardiac repair and regeneration.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
PhD in Developmental Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in basic molecular biology and animal (zebrafish and/or mouse) work.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a solid background in genetics, molecular biology and cell biology. Ph.D. degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Experience working with mouse is desired.
