This position directly or indirectly supervises up to 40 employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs and coordinates the activities of assigned production employees.
- Planning and establishes work schedules and assignments.
- Calculates labor and equipment requirements and production specifications.
- Determines standards, production schedules, and rates based on equipment labor availability, and workload.
- Reviews operation reports to determine production quality and time.
- Confers with other managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine production.
- Maintains operations data and prepares management reports.
- Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and efficiency.
- Requisitions materials, supplies, equipment, parts and repair services.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies/procedures for workers.
- Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Demonstrates equipment operations and work procedures for new employees or assigns new employees to experienced workers for training.
- Monitors or patrols work area and enforces safety and/or sanitation regulations.
- Monitors gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure operations conform to production or processing standards.
- Sets up and adjusts machines and equipment.
- Supports the organization’s safety initiatives.
- Trains, coaches, mentors, and develops employees
- Ensures that appropriate levels of staffing are maintained
- Prepares and delivers reports
- Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years previous managerial experience required, industry-related experience preferred.
- Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
- Ability to safely and properly use gauges, calipers, and other tools and equipment.
- Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
- Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
- Read, write, and speak English fluently

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,150.00 - $1,700.00 per week
