Job Title: Fishing Program Coordinator at Red Oak Camp

Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fishing Program Coordinator to oversee and coordinate our fishing program at Red Oak Camp. As the Fishing Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive fishing program, organizing fishing activities, and providing guidance and support to campers and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fishing program for campers of all ages and skill levels
• Organize and supervise fishing activities, including casting clinics, catch-and-release sessions, and fishing tournaments
• Provide instruction on fishing techniques, equipment, and safety practices
• Assist campers in baiting hooks, casting lines, and reeling in fish
• Maintain fishing equipment and ensure its proper use and storage
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork and respect for nature
• Coordinate with other camp staff to integrate fishing into the overall camp program

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in coordinating and leading fishing programs or related field
• In-depth knowledge of fishing techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well with children and staff members of various ages
• Passion for fishing and outdoor education

Schedule:

• Full-time position during the camp season
• Schedule typically runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Eligibility:

• Open to applicants of all genders
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass background checks and obtain necessary certifications
• Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus
