Lee Construction Management is seeking an energetic project engineer to join our team. The individual is expected to have good communication skills and works directly under the Project Manager helping to coordinate the day-to-day management of the project during the Construction and Project Close Out Phases. Candidates with knowledge of or a combination of project experience with Public Works, Education (K-12, Higher Ed), Infrastructure, and Caltrans is a plus and are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities
The Project Engineer’s main responisiblity is to ensure all tasks and correspondences are completed in an organized and timely fashion. These duties include:
- Regular field observations and weekly field reports of construction activities/progress including photo documentation.
- Manage/coordinate and control project documentation process such as RFI’s, submittals, and plan changes.
- Take meeting minutes and work collaboratively with project team to resolve all project RFI’s and project related issues in a timely manner.
- Manage the project reporting distribution process such as contractor dailies and construction observation reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent required.
- 1-5 years of experience in the construction industry with experience and knowledge of or a combination of experience on Public Works, Education (K-12, Higher Ed), Infrastructure, and Caltrans projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Ability to review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Candidates must have strong communication and organizational skills, responsive, and reliable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Project, Excel, Word, Power Point and familiarity and experience with project related systems such as Prolog, Sure Track, Smartsheets, and Primavera are required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
