Job Title: Project Engineer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor the progress of projects and the repair/maintenance budget and expenses
  • Evaluate existing production lines and implement a process improvement project
  • Coordinate new projects with internal and external individuals
  • Work with vendors for equipment selection
  • Monitor and follow-up with the progress of vendor projects
  • Lead the commission of new lines, provide technical support for trouble shooting and new project
  • Communicate with Head Quarter’s Engineering Staff on ongoing projects
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a 4-year accredited college/university is required
  • Experience in using 2D and/or 3D CAP models & drawings.
  • Ability to perform designs using relevant design software.
  • Ability to work on afternoon/evening shifts and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must have a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Strong administrative, recordkeeping and follow-up skills required.
  • Good multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills to employees & leaders


LANGUAGE SKILLS

This individual must possess excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Candidate must be computer literate, able to use Auto CAD, spreadsheets, Microsoft Project and presentation programs.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and electrical diagrams for set-up control loops. Candidate must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing some duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions at manufacturing job site. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
