FANUC America Corporation (FAC) is currently searching for a Project Manager to manage projects within the Automated Systems Group (ASG) execution group and execute difficult projects with minimal intervention or assistance of group management. The ASG group provides automated systems for the powertrain industry, which includes battery electric vehicles. We provide a wide variety of robotic solutions for material handling, inspection, assembly and many others. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Lead / manage project teams through delegation, conflict negotiation, risk management, change order management, organizing and scheduling, and project performance audits (close-out).
- Manage customer interaction and expectations through the length of the project / contract scope including kick-off, run-off, approvals, and spare parts.
- Track and manage financials of the project including budget management, schedule of values, revenue management, invoice management, change order management, procurement management, and payment assurance.
- Lead field management including installation, launch, and managing production support.
- Support proposal development, review, and approval.
- Focus on continuous improvement initiatives by recognizing and correcting internal and external processes when necessary (including improvements related to project management and Oracle ERP system improvements to allow for simpler user interactions).
- Function as a mentor/guide for other Project Managers.
- Ability to communicate with multiple departments while managing several projects.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/Electrical Engineering, master's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum three years project management in automation, automotive or related experience.
- Experience in the machine tool or related industry experience desired.
- Exceptional skills using MS Office including Excel and MS Project.
- Experience with Oracle ERP system preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
- Proven ability to establish and achieve project objectives.
- Proven ability to effectively lead, manage, and mentor project personnel and support groups.
