Blended Rate: $3060/wk - $3240/wk. ($85/hr - $90/hr.)
Stipend: $1281/wk.
3x12s – 36hrs – D/E/N – EOW – Options for 48hrs available
** BLS, NY License, Tele experience, Psychology experience. **
Job Summary:
Great opportunity to become a member of a unique unit, only a handful of similar units in the country. Adult medical/surgical unit for patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues. This expanding unit is looking for flexible, enthusiastic and committed nurses to help us grow. Med/surg acute care experience a plus. Willingness to care for a varied patient population in a changing environment a must! Nurses are eligible for dual-certification in both medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing after experience requirement attained
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with psychiatric and medical conditions
- Provide medication management and monitoring, as well as administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions as needed
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Document patient progress in electronic medical records and complete necessary forms and reports
- Stay up-to-date on current medical advances and treatments in the field
