Public Health Program Manager Job at Forsyth County
Forsyth County's Department of Public Health has an opening for a Public Health Program Manager. This position will perform duties as the Program Manager of Healthy Forsyth, a community health initiative that fosters cooperation and collaboration among public and private community agencies, businesses, health and human services providers.
The Public Health Program Manager will provide oversight and coordination of all aspects of the Healthy Forsyth program including budget administration, program planning, coordination of a broad based coalition and executive committee, development and coordination of volunteer task forces and monitoring and evaluation of outcomes.
This position may be required to work nights and weekends on occasion and will be required to participate in all local emergency response activities as deemed necessary by the Health Director or their designee.

High degree of interpersonal communication and public speaking skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to make decisions independently.
Knowledge of methods and techniques involved in community bases health promotion.
Knowledge of prevention strategies, evidence based programming and coalition development.
A Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Human Services Administration or Communications and three years of experience in program planning, administration, or evaluation.
Drivers License is required.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead efforts to create long term growth, including developing new strategies for community partners.
Develop and maintain sound financial policies, records and practices.
Contract necessary professional services to provide support, training and guidance as necessary.
Assist in data collection and analysis. Communicate data and evaluation finding in clear and concise reports and infographics. Use evaluation findings to create community improvement recommendations. For purpose of building community alignment and understanding.
Serve as the liaison for The Duke Endowment and provide all required programmatic and financial reports for Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation.
Responsible for overseeing Community Health Needs Assessment every three years in conjunction with Forsyth County Health Department, Novant Health and Atrium Health.
Other duties as assigned.
