Responsibilities:
The main function of a QA Tester at this level is
Peraton is looking for a Software QA Tester who will be part of a team responsible for the technical support and administration of the Department of Defense Cash Accountability System (DCAS). DCAS is the selected enterprise solution for Department of the Treasury reporting which will interface with several Department of Defense enterprise resource planning systems.
- This is a remote opportunity, but individual must reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. citizen to be considered.
- Must also hold active/current DoD Public Trust or be able to obtain to be considered.
The main function of a QA Tester at this level is
- Software testing in support of the maintenance and development of the DCAS application.
- Perform repeatable testing procedures and may need to be familiar with programming languages.
- Carries out testing methods and equipment.
- Runs test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests.
- Implements the testing processes and ensures all test activities follow those processes.
- Produces reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics.
- The Software Tester/Analyst creates test plans, performs tests, and documents and communicates software testing results.
- Ensures completed software meets established standards.
- Validates end user documentation.
- They will interface with the development teams and client business analysts as required.
- They will participate in system requirements reviews, critical design reviews, test readiness reviews and pre/post implementation reviews as part of the defined system development life cycle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform repeatable testing procedures and processes.
- Verify triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity, hardware product or system specifications.
- Interpret and modify code as required that may include PL/SQL, queries, stored procedures and/or triggers.
- Write automation test scripts for simulating user interactions such as data entry, menu selections, mouse actions, data I/O, etc.
- BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10
- This is a remote opportunity, but individual must reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. citizen to be considered.
- Must also hold active/current DoD Public Trust or be able to obtain to be considered.
- ** Position requires automated testing experience using Unified Functional Testing software**
- Knowledge and experience with Quality Center 10 or higher and/or ALM
- Knowledge and experience using Unified Functional Testing software for automated testing. Ability to write automated scripts.
- Experience with test scripts, software testing.
- Software testing experience in a Web-based or Windows client/server environment required.
- Experience in development and/or database administration experience using a Microsoft product required.
- Ability to read and write at least one programming language such as PL/SQL
- Knowledge of software quality assurance practices, with strong testing aptitude.
- Knowledge of personal computer hardware may be required.
- Must have a solid understanding of software development cycle.
