Bangs Laboratories

Bangs Laboratories experience in microsphere synthesis and fine particle analysis have established us as a leading manufacturer of polymer, silica and magnetic microspheres for diagnostic, research, and flow cytometry applications. We also manufacture many specialty products to support validation and QC programs for analytical instruments, including a broad portfolio of fluorescent, count, size, and cell viability standards.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing testing of in-process samples and final products in accordance with SOPs and relevant procedures for method development, qualification, validation, method transfer, product release, stability, and process validation and investigations.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform Quality functions including procedure writing, testing, and inspection.
• Perform laboratory testing and assays in support of method development, validation, product release, stability, and investigations.
• Manage the release of product through accurate testing and recording of test results.
• Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot product issues.
• Assist in monitoring and trending laboratory equipment performance and qualification of new laboratory instruments.
• Perform weekly verification and perform maintenance on laboratory equipment.

Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, experience will be taken into consideration of a degree is not applicable.
• Time management and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to clearly communicate with employees.
• Ability to apply logic, creativity and scientific thinking to a wide range of practical problems.
• Able to work efficiently, independently, and as part of collaboration or team.
• Ability to work through conflict effectively and professionally.
• Self-motivated and organized.
• Excellent laboratory skills
