Reconciliation Team Lead Job at Clearwater Analytics
The Reconciliation Team Lead supervises day-to-day administrative, personnel and procedural activities for reconciliation. One of the most important tasks is transitioning client reconciliation from implementation teams to BAU state within their team. They manage productivity measures on a team and individual basis (metrics) and work with Product teams to continually iterate and improve reconciliation tools and processes.
Accountability performance indicators include meeting client service level agreements (SLAs), client lock down dates are met, and provides reconciliation oversight of their team members by ensuring breaks are researched, monitored, or resolved prior to the account being available to the client through the reporting site.
- Trusted to deliver accurate, timely, and thorough responses (Level 1) to routine and non-standard inquiries in both written and verbal contexts with internal and external parties.
- Identifies and acts upon Level 2 servicing opportunities for self and team.
- Oversees day-to-day team communication and hosts daily standup.
- Manages onboarding of new hire(s) by being engaged in learning and providing feedback on progression on skills developed.
Responsibilities:
- Acts and communicates with other leaders in the organization to ensure client success, by evaluating areas of improvement/success for team when performing strategic client check ins (NPS, CSTAT, etc.) retrospectives.
- Establishes and communicates standards to team by regularly overseeing weekly department metrics that uphold department KPIs.
- Effectively gives feedback as a part of employee professional development.
- Leadership
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure they are efficient in their role, such as evaluating employee anti-patterns, goals, aspirations, strengths, and weaknesses at any time.
- Identifies the need for performance improvement autonomously. Works with the individual to create a plan with explicit details on how to improve demonstrated anti-patterns with measurable and tangible goals to further career development.
- Works with DL to contribute to operational targets by attending 4-7 external calls/on-sites each year.
- Embodies company guiding principles and encourages others to do the same.
- Interacts with Reconciliation Audit team monthly. Implements remediation and prevention for team in which oversight presides monthly reviews for team with support from Division Lead or Reconciliation Auditor.
- Practices oversight and quality assurance by monitoring team emails. Will provide frequent feedback to team members on a weekly basis.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates projects to improve 2-4 strategic initiatives leveraging Lean Six Sigma practices annually.
Management Duties:
- Ensures daily metric of timeliness, completeness and accuracy are performed by team in which oversight presides. Drives improvements necessary to mitigate possible risks or shortcomings.
- Able to forecast and plan headcount based on business changes, such as out-of-office duties and upcoming implementations moving to steady state.
- Effectively manages reconciliation assignments within the team while balancing workloads, client success, and employee development.
- Interviews new candidates and confidently makes assessments on CW culture fit (curiosity, grit, communication, etc.).
- Ensures quality service and operational performance within the parameters of client expectations and SOC 1 Compliance.
- Leads 1-2 projects a year with upper management that align with company goals that last 3-6 months.
- Technical/Application Skills/Automation
- Able to do reconciliation for 2-3 of CW’s markets. (Corporate, Insurance, Investment Management, Government).
- Can successfully work with other departments/teams to transition strategic client reconciliation by building client standard operating procedures to ensure client success.
- Understands that our asset managers/custodians are our partners and promotes FFF with our external portfolio data providers.
- Partakes in projects with other departments/teams to implement large/major clients by building client standard operating models/procedures to ensure client success and SOC 1 compliance.

- Intermediate: Salesforce, Paylocity, Confluence, Outlook, Jira, Grafana, etc.
- Proactively seeks automation opportunities with SMEs to improve auto recon for accounts in which team reconciles.
Requirements:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Make Decisions and Solving Problems – Proven ability to analyze information and anticipate outcomes in order to choose the best solutions
- Analyzing Data – Use a data driven approach to coordinate team and department efforts to exceed KPIs
- Bachelors in finance or Accounting
- 2+ years Clearwater or relevant industry experience
- Formal or informal leadership or management responsibilities
