General Labor - Sorter

$20.00 2nd Shift

The General Labor - Sorter will work in a team environment sorting recyclable materials to choose selected colors and pieces to wash, treat and form into final plastic pellet products for the plastic injection molding industry.

Duties:

· Sort recyclable materials on a conveyer system, while working on raised platforms.

· Sort recyclable materials by color, separating them out in designated bins.

· While sorting, place unusable materials in separate areas, including hoppers for later disposal.

· Must have the ability to identify desired materials vs undesirable materials and dispose of them properly.

· Will sweep, pick up debris and keep clean work area and any other areas that are requested as well.

Requirements:

· Must have 3-5 years of experience in either General Labor, Production, Manufacturing, or Plastics Industry preference preferred.

· Must have working knowledge & experience using a PC, MS Office; Word, Excel & Outlook

· Must have a minimum of 1 year of previous experience operating a forklift and have been recently certified.

· Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in machine operation, preferably extrusion.

· Must possess the ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with prolonged physical exertions including repetitive lifting, pushing pulling, and climbing stairs.

· Must have the ability to work overtime and or holidays.

· Must have the ability to work in all weather conditions.

· Must have the ability to read, write and speak English to follow all safety measures, training & written instructions.

· PPE will be provided, must wear Steel Toed Boots at work.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must possess an HS Diploma or GED

· Must be eligible to work in the United States

· Must have reliable transportation to work and a valid driver’s license.

· Must successfully complete pre-employment screenings and background check

Environment:

· Work areas will be dusty, and dirty and may have an odor and frequent walk areas of wetness.

· The climate is hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

· There are designated safety walk areas and steer clear of Forklift traffic.

Job Type: Temporary to full time

Shift/Schedule:

Night Shift – 7 pm to 7 am, Monday through Friday, rotating days off, working every other weekend.
