Job Title: Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location: New York, NY (USA)

Salary: $3780/Wk

Stipend: $2359/wk

Schedule: Nights - 36hrs/wk - 7p - 7a

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in New York, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care before and after surgeries or procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor post-operative patients for complications and manage their recovery process • Administer medication and treatment as prescribed and as per protocols • Assess and document patient’s physical and emotional condition • Provide education to patients and their families on post-surgical care • Communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

• Implement safety, infection control, and quality measures in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Active RN license in the State of New York.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in PACU.

• BLS and ACLS certification required.

• Excellent clinical judgement and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
