Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Malware Reverse Engineer to join a leading cybersecurity organization. The Malware Reverse Engineer will assist with unpacking, code review, and malicious mobile software reviews.

Responsibilities for the Malware Reverse Engineer include:

• Identify families of malware and take proper action
• Develop static and dynamic signatures for mobile code, binaries, and executable code to detect various types of threats including malware, potentially unwanted programs (PUPs), and advanced persistent threats
• Pinpoint weaknesses in detections and automation then make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications for the Malware Reverse Engineer include:

• 3+ years of experience with hands-on Android and reverse engineering
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, and other mobile software languages
• Experience with Reverse Engineering tools such as Jadx, Ghidra, Frida, IDA Pro, and Burp
• In-depth understanding and experience with Android Internals
• Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related is preferred

Compensation for the Malware Reverse Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $155,000 - $170,000 – Hourly Pay $70 - $77/hr **depending on experience**
