Retail Training Associate Job at The Washington Trust Company
The Washington Trust Company is seeking a Retail Training Associate to facilitate core training. Will conduct other trainings based on Retail Banking needs e.g., new system implementation, etc. This position will be based in Westerly, RI with required travel to other Bank locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and conduct the core training programs for Retail Banking in accordance with needs and requirements.
- Investigate available training methods and procedures to determine the most effective manner by which to facilitate the training programs.
- Maintain records via the online learning management system on the progress and performance of those involved in training programs.
- Update and maintain the instructor training manuals used for Core Training.
- Coordinate classes from the various Development Plans; determine and assist in the scheduling of the associated courses.
- Utilize cost savings measures when needed.
- Coordinate with other areas of Retail Banking to help implementation of core system conversions.
- Work with supervisor on programs and projects as needed.
- Cross-train on specific training functions including the online course catalog, the internal online training manual, external course offerings, telephone, and email training.
- Knowledgeable in all training programs, policies, software, and technology used.
- Regularly communicate training tips to Retail Banking to ensure the most efficient use of time and resources.
- Work with Retail Facilitators to determine new staff development approaches that may require more assistance.
- Coordinate feedback surveys for every course, analyze feedback and evaluate trainer/self-performance and the effectiveness of the training program, and make recommendations for change.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep current with Retail Banking branch functions, responsibilities, policies, procedures, products, and regulatory requirements; refresh skills by staffing branch/call center positions as needed.
- Design, develop and administer training courses that address the needs of employees throughout Retail. Training may be in-person, webinar-based, or through the online learning management system.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma with a strong academic record of achievement.
- 1+ years of relevant training facilitation experience with the ability to review and relate new material and procedures.
- Ability to make professional and motivational presentations for both hard and soft skill curricula, utilizing various techniques that create and engage in an interactive classroom setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication ability, both oral and written.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to use and navigate various computer programs.
- Good planning and organizational skills with the ability to conduct numerous training sessions is required.
