Job Description:
Nurse residents participate in a one-year evidence-based program with monthly education sessions that address leadership, patient outcomes and professionalism. Residents will benefit from a one-on-one guided clinical experience with a preceptor and supportive debriefing groups. You will work in teams to complete an evidenced-based project that will be presented at the graduation ceremony.
Education:

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing within 18 Months of Program Start Date - Required
Additional Experience Requirements:
-
Less than 6 months experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
Certifications/Licensures:

RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing – Required

BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association – Required
-
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association - For units that require ACLS - must complete during the first 6 months of the training program – Required

PALS - American Heart Association - For units that require PALS - must complete during the first 6 months of the training program – Required
-
NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics - For units that require NRP - must complete during the first 6 months of the training program – Required
-
Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test – For units that require rhythm recognition competency- Must Pass test upon completion of the first 6 months of the training program- Required

NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency - Competency - Successful completion on an annual basis – For units that require NIHSS - must complete during the first 6 months of the training program - Required
Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others in a high stress, fast paced environment.

In order to be considered for this program, you must have a CA RN license no later than February 13, 2023. Program will begin on March 13th.

- Emergency Room: Senior Preceptorship of at least 120 hours in ER Preferred
- Medical Surgical Intensive Care: Senior Preceptorship of at least 120 hours in Critical Care preferred
- Medical Telemetry
- Renal Metabolic
- Med/Surg
- Oncology
- Acute Rehabilitation
- Orthopedics
- Mom/Baby
- Behavioral Health

12.0 - 19:00 - 07:30 (United States of America)
Pay Range:
$72.66 - $99.00
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
