Our Coppell branch is looking for a new Road Logistic Customer Care Specialist to join their Road Logistics team. #LI-ONSITE
Your Role
As a Road Logistics Customer Care Specialist you will receive, investigate and respond to all customer inquiries regarding shipments, products and complaints. Coordinate shipments such as, opening files, production of internal documentation, updating statuses, assisting and advising customers of arrival and arranging deliveries. You will report to the Road Logistics Manager.Your Responsibilities
- You will talk with customers by phone or email daily.
- Receive bookings by email or direct integration to our TMS (Transportation Management System).
- You will secure resources (trucks) with our carrier partners, and securing resources from web-based load boards (brokering loads).
- Confirm booking with the shipper and co-signer.
- You schedule appointments for pick up or delivery.
- Follow up to ensure all shipments are moving according to schedule.
- Communicate any deviation from the planned transport to cross functional teams and customers.
- Initiate file maintenance for corrections for service request.
Your Skills and Experiences
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 1+ years of logistics/freight forwarding/3PL experience
- 3+ years of customer service experience
