Don t miss this exciting opportunity to join an industry leading Energy Services Company (ESCO) as they expand in TX. This Energy Solutions Account Executive position is well suited for current or retired school superintendents, cities managers, and Account Executives with experience selling at the executive level in the Financial Services, Performance Contracting, Building Automation and Mechanical Services industries. The focus will be on providing comprehensive green solutions designed to help cities, counties and/or schools and colleges to attain LEED and ENERGY STAR certifications, reduce cost of operation, increase energy efficiency, and create comfortable, healthy, safe, and productive environments for occupants. Current or former School Superintendents and State or Local Government Administrators welcome to apply. Preferred locations are Dallas or Houston, however you must be willing to travel throughout TX to develop opportunities.

Base pay commensurate with experience with a base range of 115,000 - $135,000 plus aggressive commission plan.

Education/Experience Preferences:

  • Bachelor s degree in marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • An understanding of Bundled Energy Solutions projects and Performance Contracting beneficial.
  • Five plus years successful performance record in strategic, conceptual sales with long sales cycle, or equivalent in work experience in local government or school systems as a Superintendent.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrating professionalism, self-confidence, drive, and commitment with the ability to interact appropriately at all levels within an organization.
  • Extensive high-level contacts in one or more market sectors including municipalities and counties, k-12 schools, and public or private colleges/universities.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Prospect for new business including working trade shows, research using publications and the Web, involvement with numerous organizations such as Rotary, Associations of School Board Officials, and Associations for Counties/Cities/Towns.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of renewable energy, structure, opportunities, trends, and issues.
  • Monitor account plan progress, including market conditions, customer needs and competitive activity.
  • Analyze all operation and energy costs by the customers that can be eliminated by implementing a strategic master plan for facility improvements and energy reduction.
  • Prepare and present proposals, including financial proposals that benefit customers with incentives, rebates, favorable financing rates and avoid negative tax implications.
  • Communicate and coordinate with regulating authorities as required.
  • Achieve annual sales targets, at or above target profit levels.
  • Work independently, and well as collaboratively within a team and provide open and effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Must be availability for travel as necessary in TX.
  • Must have ability to pass background check, physical and drug screen.
