Security Guard
The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the hospital. Security officer acts as a visible deterrent to crime; he/she detects and
reports suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts which may be a threat to the property, patients, visitors or employees.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
One to three years’ experience in the field of
law enforcement and/or security management; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Certification of completion of an approved
safety basic security/safety course.
Knowledge of investigative procedures,
de-escalating violence, hospital security, infant abduction and protection
mechanisms.
Read, understand and clearly speak English;
constantly use speech and hearing in communicating with public/co-workers,
giving and receiving instructions.
